I think lovebirds are gorgeous, both physically and in their natural instincts. Pet stores suggest that you buy them in pairs. Do you know why? Because they are extremely attached to their partner. Once they are attached to their partner, they can't live without the other. If you separate them they will go into depression and starve themselves to death. They refuse to live without one another.

How tragic. How...romantic. However, just as a human who's romantic in this way, they are also very needy. They won't be happy lest they have constant attention from their partner. They need constant reminders that they are loved through chirps and nips on the feathers. Basically, lovebirds spend their entire lives doting on each other. I want that. So bad. But we all want what we can never have. Anyways, enough of my whining.
